Crosses, getting too pricey!

Have you seen those layered crosses that have a metal cross on top?  I keep seeing them in gift shops, online, etsy, pretty much EVERYWHERE!! Well they start at about $40 and I've seen them up to $180, which is CRAZY. Well I wanted a brown & turquoise cross for my bedroom.  Well I'll appologize for being a bad newbie to blogging and did not take a before photo, but when I was at Canton First Monday Trade Days I picked up the larger wooden cross for $3, the smaller wooden cross for $2, and the metal cross for $2.50.

I reused the brown paint from OOPS that I used on my little table, and went back to OOPS to find a perfect turquoise for the cross for $5.  And this is how my $7.50 cross turned out....

So after I got done painting both crosses, I sanded down the edges to give it a 'western look' and then added just a little bit of furniture wax!

I used wood glue to attach the pieces together. Then put books ontop as it dried!

Its ALMOST ready to be hung on the wall.... I attached a sawtooth picture hanger...

Trying out linkies! I LOVE these blogs :)
