goodwill half off day? sweet!

Update- okay I close on my house in 31 days. So that means go to work, go out to the house,
come home, work on this massive bedroom set refinish that I took on, and then crash because
Texas heat beats it out of you!!

So I have a bed, dresser, and vanity already in the works for my
western shabby chic *hopefully* wonderful bedroom set and today
I set out to Goodwill to find 2 night stands, I didn't find them today...
BUT I found out it was 1/2 off today!!

So I had FUN....

Lost Socks!

Okay every time I do laundry I see pairs of socks going into the washer and dryer...
but when I take them out, I only seem to find singles?!?!

Either the washing machine or dryer is EATING MY SOCKS!
hehe!

I've NUMEROUS blogs who have "lost sock" displays for their laundry room so
here's my take on it ....

I used my Cruicut to cut out decorations and "Lost Socks"

Picked out my paper, you may remember it from my bread box makeover, here.

Looked a little dull so I added silver Sharpie around the letters.

Lay out the clothes pins, make sure they are evenly spaced.

I modge podged the BACK of the paper, laid my clothes pins on, let it dry, then
used an exato knife and CAREFULLY cut it out!
(I pre-painted my clothes pins black, but that took FOREVER
and was very messy!)

and FINISHED!!!

(these are 4 actual lost socks that all came from ONE load of laundry!)

Now its in storage until my house is finished in 43 days!!

Easy peanut butter addition to box cupcakes

So I didn't feel like putting in much effort but wanted something sweet,
I had a box of cake mix and a can of frosting so I thought how could I mix things up a little bit?

I'm a PEANUT BUTTER fanatic so I added a dollop of peanut butter to the cupcakes
once they were in the baking tins.  Here's how it went....

{bake according to box instructions}

I didn't do any fancy icing, just wanted something sweet and let me tell you...
the peanut butter was SOOOO yummy!!

Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately, everyday after work I go
see the progress on my house being built, then I come home and crash!!
I'll post pic's of the house build soon!

Thanks Y'all if you like what you see, please follow my blog :)

Amanda's broach bouquet

My dear friend from college Amanda made a beautiful broach bouquet for
her wedding this past weekend.  She collected broaches for year from antique stores,
garage sales, ones friends founds (ME ME ME), family gave her, etc.  She wrapped them very carefully onto
floral wire and made a breath taking arrangement.

They also did a sand ceremony, turned out really pretty!

Me and the bride!

She is such a beautiful woman inside and out and I wish
her the very best in all she does! I don't think I would never of
made it though the dental hygiene program in college without her.
I remember many of amazing nights : her calming me down when I had breakdowns
from stress, playing rock band in the middle of the night, eating candy because
we thought it would help us focus on studying, though all the tears & laughter
we made it though!!

The isle she walked down, can you say breath taking?
