monkey bread

I tried a new recipe off Pinterest.  I did add a few extra table spoons of syrup (I used store brand sugar free), and I'm glad I did, YUM, and it got good reviews at work (brought breakfast)!

2 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cups panncake syrup
1/3 can packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans, opt.
1/4 cup chopped almonds, opt.

Spray a fluted pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if desired, I didnt in case girls at work didn't like nuts).
Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top.

Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges (closely together) to form a ring.
I used two tubes of Pillsbury Grands biscuits this morning, but won't do that again. I'll either use the smaller biscuits or one tube of the grands, as stated in the recipe list above. These had to bake for about 30 minutes. Still amazing, but I'll be doing it the other way from now on (the way they're supposed to be made).
Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures.

Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.Cool for 1 minute in the pan before turning out onto serving platter.
thanks  yall!!!

singles awareness day

It's already been another year since we did this holiday?

To say I don't like Valentines Day is a huge understatement, but I won't get into it.

I saw on Pinterest people making Valentines desserts and I had saw Pink Marshmallows at WalMart so I
thought WHY NOT make S'mores??

The kisses take 25 sec or so, and the marshmallow only takes 7 seconds.

Yum!! So I packaged them up with 2 whole gram crackers, 4 Hersey kisses, and 2 marshmallows.

The little bird bag is an example of how they turned out.  This is the little goody bag I put together
for my mother for Valentines day.  S'mores, Bubble bath, text friendly gloves, and a charm from Brighton!

Thanks y'all!!

Buffalo chicken A friends birthday dinner

For my college roommate (Ashley's 24th) birthday we made dinner a feast at my house.

I made buffalo chicken and she made Kahlua cake & spinach/artichoke dip!

(I'll flag down and get her recipes bc they were as good as they look!)

Okay for the chicken.  I've seen numerous versions of this recipe....
I used....

1 3lb bag of frozen chicken breast
1 bottle of franks wing sauce
1 package of Ranch seasoning

Put in all ingredients (I use 3/4 bottle of franks wing sauce) in crock pock on low for 6 hours.
Use 2 forks to split apart.
Let simmer on low again (this is where I add the last 1/4 of wing sause) for 30min-1 hour.

YUMMMM :)

girls ready to go out....

Other food served, recipe to come :)
