House Drama Update

Ok so I moved into my house on September 10, I took a ton of pictures and can't wait to post my before (blank canvas) and after with decorations (still a work in progress)... But I don't get Internet or TV until Friday! Boo!

Okay so last weekend I had close family friends and some friends over after we ran the Jailbreak, it's like the warrior dash run that I did but it was entirely harder (3.8 miles, more obstacles, and it rained the day before= more mud). We hung decorations all day and got a ton done.

Well yesterday I decided to hang 2 fleur de lis candle holders in my spare bathroom under a metal shelf (shelf was hung on there great, nice and sturdy) well with the hammer I got the first candle holder hung up just fine. Went to hang the second candle holder and just before I got finished the shelf came tumbling down onto my arm. I wasn't in pain but I looked down and the floor, my feet, and the toilet had blood everywhere and I looked around to see where all the blood was coming from. Well it's from my left wrist, the candle holders on top of the shelf got smushed between my arm and the shelf. So I called a few people for rides and finally got a ride from a lady my mom works with's husband who lives close by.

Got to the hospital, 3 hours later got 7 bright blue stitches, they said a medium to deep laceration and that I couldn't go back to work till Monday, eek thats never great to hear!

I'm doing ok, pain today even with vicoden and definitely wishing I had Internet to blog when I found the blog app in the iPhone app store I was very excited!!!

Lots of pictures to come soon:)

(I uploaded two photos with the app, the left shelf is the one that got me, and a picture of my wrist this morning when I took the bandage off. The before stitches photo was way too graphic!!!)

Got My House Keys- Home Tour

Okay so I got my home keys today!
It was a LONG day, met the builder at my house (they were still putting in appliances
and some stuff still hadn't been done- i.e. paint my garage door panel that they had to replace),
then drove an HOUR to the closing location with the title agency,
then drove an hour back home and waited for a phone call that all my paper work went through.
(realize it was a cashiers check and yet it STILL took hours!!!)
So I waited and waited, and 5pm was approaching so I called and they had paperwork
issues (what a shocker, that was there problem ALL along). So I finally got my keys at like
6pm. With it being a new home, my dad is helping me put up my blinds on Friday and my home
alarm is going in tomorrow night so I didn't want to encourage any burglars and
put valuables in the house until I get an alarm in!

so here's my FINISHED home tour :)
I'm not sure WHO decorated my front door, but they are an
AWESOME friend, it made me so excited!

thanks y'all for stopping by :)

Get the keys TOMORROW

Okay so my house has been:
Exciting, exhausting, overwhelming, intriguing, fun, crazy, painful, amazing, frustrating….
well okay, I could go on forever!
the latest struggles:
my garage door had a huge dent & didn’t go up & down on the tracks so it had to be replaced,
they put wood posts in the back fence instead of metal like I was told I would have,
they hung the light over the sink in the guest bathroom instead of in the middle because
“its better for men to see to shave” and had to be moved to the middle,
oh my loan company continuously keeps losing documents after they say they’ve received them
(but if I use this loan company they pay most all of my closing),
and that’s all my venting for now!
But anyways I get the keys tomorrow but I’ll catch you up on the house progress that’s
been happening since my last house post.

Okay does anyone remember the Sex and the City movie scene where she
gets into the new apartment (with her dream closest that Big made for her)
and she is SO excited to put her new pair of expensive designer heel on the shelf?
(I LOVE THAT MOMENT)
Tomorrow will be my moment, (except no one did it for me) tomorrow after
handing over the big fat check I'll get keys to MY house,
unlock the door and carry in my first item going in the house.....
will be my brand new red kitchenaid mixer.
SQUEEL!

cant wait!!!!
